WMAC Fundraising & Outreach Chair
Position Description
OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
Connect AmeriCorps members, alumni, and Program Directors to internal opportunities as well as the surrounding community by planning events. Develop and sustain a Fundraising strategy to ensure the continuation of WMAC. 
SHARED DUTIES
  1. Attend meetings and events according to attendance policy. 
  2. Assist in planning events and other opportunities. 
    1. Main organizer of each event must write event description and send to board chair who will then deliver to the program directors for review.
  3. Contribute to the monthly newsletter. 
  4. Remain active in Facebook group by consistently posting
POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES
  1. Along with executive board, plan events to raise awareness of AmeriCorps. 
  2. Partner with other AmeriCorps programs and community organizations to provide networking and professional development opportunities for members. 
  3. Secure discounts and donations from the community for AmeriCorps members. 
ACCOUNTS/DOCUMENTS MANAGED
  1. Manage detailed activity log and event database in the drive. 
    1. Take notes on partnership events upon completion. 
    2. Quantify members, items/funds donated, etc. for year-end report. 
  2. Utilize WMAC gmail account to connect with community partners. 
POSSIBLE DUTIES/ LONG-TERM DEVELOPMENT
  1. If applicable, divide position by focus or city (e.g., Muskegon and Grand Rapids). 
  2. Develop a WMAC fundraising strategy to ensure sustainability of organization. ​
